2010 Winter Olympics Mural – 852 viewsAs you can see this is a scene from the 2010 winter Olympics to take place in Vancouver, Canada a few years from now. The boy in the picture is quite fond of skiing and apparently leaves his mother in the dust...or should I say powder, while skiing moguls. I thought it would be a great idea to paint him in the Olympics...nothing like planting a seed!

The wall is curved because of a winding staircase behind the wall leading up to this bedroom. I'm not the greatest photographer, but even I couldn't make a wall look like that with my camera!

2010 Winter Olympics Mural – 676 viewsOriginally, the distant crowd and the mountain scenery were all you were supposed to see along with the skier. I painted in some closeups of the crowd because there was an outlet right in the middle of the wall that was very glaring. Can you find the plug? Hopefully the paint hid it fairly well. I decided to paint the parents and sister watching the boy ski. Logically I knew if he was ever in the olympics the parents would surely be there to watch in person and cheer him on.
