Child Halloween Party Game Tricks
By Patricia Jensen
SCAREDY CATS You will need a polaroid or digital camera for this one. Have each party guest lie on a couch upside down, with their head hanging off the edge and legs up over the back. Comb through their hair to make it look wild and scary. You can even black out a tooth or add some crazy make-up to enhance the final effect. Get down level with the child's face and tell them to look frightened. Take a picture. Turn the picture right side up and you have a "scaredy cat" picture of each guest. Add a caption like: "Which witch scared Amy?" or "Did your ghoul friend scare you?" These pictures make great party favors. Kids love candles, flashlights, and other small lights they can hold. Wrap a glowstick in orange tissue paper and tie each end with black curling ribbon. Include this verse on a bit of paper cut with fancy-edge scissors: "When all the tricks and treats are done, it's time for one last bit of fun., Turn out the lights, fill up your tub,, and use this spooky candle while you scrub-a-dub." Tuck a "spooky ghost bath" glowstick and poem in each child's goodie bag. Patricia B. Jensen is a mother of three and kids party enthusiast.
