SEO means Search Engine Optimization. In order for people to search and find your website you need to make sure that the search engine robots that find and categorize websites can read your website. HUH?
Well all those pretty sites that use Flash and javascript, can't be read by bots! Keep your site simple and you will have better results with search engines. If you do use some flash, make sure you also have text links to all your pages and make sure you submit your site to Google and Yahoo. You don't have to pay to submit your website. It's Free! If you are using Squidoo for your website, it will be picked up by search engines as long as you keep some fresh content on it.
